Account-Based Marketing (ABM)

What is Factors.ai and how does it fit into our ABM strategy?

Factors is an AI account-based marketing, activation, and attribution platform.

It identifies which accounts are searching for your product, deanonymizes your website visitors (at an account/company level and at the contact level), scores their intent, surfaces buying signals, enriches them with buying committee details and business signals like hiring, funding, etc. After this, Factors.ai pushes them to LinkedIn, Google Ads, and 12 other Ad platforms to ensure your campaigns are set up for maximum success. You can also set up real-time alerts for sales, all in one place.

Factors.ai is also one of the most complete ABM attribution platforms available on the market one your ABM program deserves and one that keeps the CFO happy.

‍

Along with the platform, a Factors.ai Forward Deployed Marketer will set up and run your ABM.

Can we upload our own target account list and only track those companies?

Yes, you can upload a CSV of your target accounts’ domains and track your target accounts. You can also layer in Bombora intent data and website behavior on top of that list.

‍

Uploading a list doesn’t change how Factors.ai scores accounts. For example, if you upload 100 target accounts and Factors.ai has identified 1,000 accounts overall, your target accounts’ engagement is compared against all 1,000.

‍

A company could be the most engaged account on your list and still not qualify as “Hot” if other accounts outside your list show stronger engagement. So, “Hot” means highly engaged accounts compared with the broader account base, not just the companies you uploaded.

We have only 500 to 1,000 ICP accounts globally. Is Factors.ai worth it at that scale?

Yes. With a small, well-defined Target Account List, Factors.ai helps you maximize coverage by identifying which of those accounts are active right now. After that, Factors.ai can help you push them into LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and 10 other ad platforms (Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads, Pinterest Ads, Snapchat Ads, X  Ads, Spotify Ads, Uber Ads, and ChatGPT Ads) and StackAdapt) retargeting, and alerting sales the moment they show buying behavior.

‍

The smaller the list, the more every signal matters. Effectiveness depends on having consistent ad spend to generate impressions.

How do we tier our target accounts (Tier 1, 2, 3) inside Factors.ai?

You can create account segments using firmographic filters such as revenue, company size, industry, and geography, along with intent signals, engagement scores, and CRM properties synced from HubSpot or Salesforce.

‍

You define the criteria for each tier, and Factors.ai automatically groups accounts based on those rules.

‍

Here’s how we recommend using these tiers:

  • Tier 1: Set up real-time Slack alerts and prioritize personalized sales outreach.
  • Tier 2: Add accounts to nurture campaigns to build engagement.
  • Tier 3: Include accounts in broader retargeting campaigns to maintain awareness.

Can Factors.ai track when a specific named account visits a specific ABM landing page we built for them?

Yes. You can create a segment that fires when a target account visits a specific URL. As soon as that company hits the page, you get a Slack or Teams alert with full visit context, including what they viewed, their engagement history, and their prior journey. It turns cold outreach into warm outreach.

‍

We recommend using this signal to prioritize sales follow-up and personalize outreach based on the page they viewed and their previous engagement with your website.

You can also read more about this in the warm outbound play using Factors.ai blog.

When our SDR reaches out to a target account, can they see all prior engagement that account has had with us?

Yes. Account 360 view in Factors.ai brings together the account’s tracked engagement across your connected channels. Depending on your integrations, this can include website visits, ad interactions, content downloads, CRM activity, and email engagement.

‍

The Account Journey timeline shows when each recorded touchpoint happened, helping SDRs understand what the account has explored before reaching out.

‍

We recommend using this context to personalize outreach, for example, following up on repeated pricing-page visits with a relevant conversation about plans and requirements.

Can we build separate segments for different products or business units targeting different ICPs?

Yes. Factors.ai supports multiple segments per project with completely different logic for each. If you have separate business units with distinct websites, you can set up separate Factors projects so data stays clean and each team sees only what is relevant to their ICP.

How do we use Factors.ai for account-based retargeting on LinkedIn and Google simultaneously?

Build a segment in Factors.ai, for example, hot accounts from your Target Account List with recent pricing page visits. Then, Factors.ai keeps your audiences synced across LinkedIn and Google Ads to build a retargeting audience. The audience updates dynamically as account scores change inside your segment. No manual CSV exports or stale lists are needed to be uploaded manually.

What does “account activation” mean in Factors.ai, and how do we know when an account is ready for sales?

An account is considered activated when it crosses a defined engagement score threshold. You configure the scoring, for example, 60 or more points, visits to high-intent pages like pricing or demo, or multiple sessions within a short window. You define the threshold based on your sales motion. Factors.ai fires the alert the moment an account qualifies.

Can Factors.ai identify the buying committee within a target account, not just the company?

Yes. Factors.ai identifies the anonymous visitors via RB2B from your target accounts visiting your website and also the key stakeholders of the buying committee who have not engaged with the brand yet. Then Factors.ai can enrich these with email, LinkedIn, and phone number to help you reach out to them. For full buying committee mapping with names, roles, and LinkedIn profiles, that data comes from Apollo or Blitz enrichment integrated into the workflow. Factors.ai identifies who is active; enrichment tells you who to contact.

We want to shift our narrative from “leads generated” to “revenue influenced.” Can Factors support that?

Yes. Factors.ai maps every touchpoint, including anonymous visits, ad impressions, and LinkedIn engagement, to opportunities and closed-won deals in your CRM. For instance, you can show leadership that LinkedIn influenced 30% of Q3 pipeline with a clear, deal-level breakdown, not just form fill counts.

Scout and AI Agents

What is Scout and what can it actually do?

Scout is Factors’ AI layer that lets you build conversational agents that query your Factors.ai data like first-party website behavior, CRM, intent signals, and ad data, and return structured answers or summaries.

Scout agents run autonomously. For instance, it can automatically manage your ad campaigns and adjust bids on your behalf. Common use cases include account research briefs before a sales call, buying committee mapping, closed-won pattern analysis, and weekly hot account digests delivered automatically to Slack or Teams.

Can Scout agents automatically research companies and draft personalized outreach emails?

Yes. An account research agent pulls firmographics, recent news from Pulse, website intent data, and job postings, then passes that to a prompt that generates a personalized email draft. This can be delivered to the SDR via Slack or queued directly in their email tool. The agent does the research that used to take 20 minutes per account, in seconds.

Can we schedule recurring AI-generated reports about our top accounts?

Yes. Routines let you schedule Scout agents on a daily or weekly cadence and post summaries directly to Slack. For example, every Monday morning a “Top 10 hot accounts from this week with contact recommendations” brief lands in your sales team’s channel before the week starts.

How much do Scout AI credits cost and how quickly do they get used up?

AI credits are purchased at $1,000 per 100,000 credits*. Simple queries cost less than 1 credit each. Complex account research agents pulling multi-source data and generating detailed briefs can consume 50,000 to 200,000 tokens per run.

For most teams running a moderate number of agents and routines, 100,000 credits lasts several months.

We used up our free Scout credits and the agents stopped working. What now?

After the free trial credits expire, Scout requires a paid credits purchase. Credits can be added to any plan without changing your subscription tier. Once the purchase goes through, agents and routines resume immediately.

Can we build our own custom agents or do we have to use pre-built templates?

Both. Factors.ai provides pre-built agent templates for the most common use cases like account research, buying committee finder, competitor monitoring, and closed-lost re-engagement. You can also write custom prompts and build your own agent logic entirely from scratch if your use case is specific to your team’s workflow.

Can we access Scout agent outputs via API or use it inside Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Factors.ai supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), which lets you query your Scout agents from within Claude or any other LLM that supports MCP. This means your Factors.ai data- account intelligence, scoring, intent signals, etc.- becomes queryable from inside any AI tool like Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or anything that your team already uses.

Can we trigger outreach automatically when a high-intent account visits our website, without a form fill?

Yes. This is one of the most common agent workflows: Factors.ai identifies a high-intent account visit, Apollo enriches the right contacts, and Smartlead or Instantly fires a personalized email sequence. Slack notifies the SDR with the full account context. The whole sequence runs automatically, and the SDR just handles the reply.

What is the Pulse feature and how does it fit with the AI agents?

Pulse is Factors’ GTM signals layer. It surfaces business-level buying signals, like company funding, leadership changes, hiring spikes, regulatory filings, and product launches, by using AI to scan news and aggregated data, including paywalled sources. Scout agents can pull from Pulse to enrich account research briefs with real-time external context, not just website behavior.

How do we stay on top of Factors.ai product updates?

Your CSM is the primary channel for new feature announcements. If you are not getting regular updates, you can ask them to add a standing product update segment to your weekly syncs. Factors.ai also maintains a changelog, sends you monthly emails, and runs periodic webinars and office hours when major features go live.

Factors.ai Pricing and Plans*

What are the Factors.ai pricing plans?

Factors has four main tiers: Basic Lite, available at $199/month; this plan includes a free trial (no credit card required). The Basic plan is $6,000/year; the Growth plan is $20,000/year. The Enterprise plan starts at $36,000 a year.

‍

Pricing scales with modules, CRM volume, website traffic, monthly identification volume, number of segments, reporting volume, and add-ons.

‍

For more information, please refer to Factors.ai pricing.

What happens when we exceed our monthly account identification credit limit?

Identification stops for the rest of that month. You can purchase additional credits as a one-time add-on without changing your plan. Credits reset on the first of each month. AI agent credits work the same way.

Can we pay monthly or quarterly instead of annually upfront?

Most plans are structured as annual contracts. Monthly/quarterly billing plans are available but will be 20% higher than annual plans

‍

Monthly billing is available for the Lite tier. Commercial terms are negotiable depending on deal size and company stage.

Is there a discount for startups or early-stage companies?

Factors.ai has a startup program for pre-Series A companies. The Basic Lite plan at $199/month is the entry point for teams testing the waters.

Ask your respective CSM/AEs for more details.

We are on a limited budget. What is the minimum viable setup?

The Lite plan at $199/month gives you company identification for up to 1,500 companies per month. Add LinkedIn Audience Sync at $2,000/year, and you have identification plus retargeting. Add AI credits on top for Scout agents. Most teams find this combination enough to prove the value before upgrading.

Does Factors.ai charge per seat or per user?

No. Most plans are not seat-based. Pricing is based on identification volume, number of segments, and add-ons. However, a specific number of seats is assigned to a plan.

‍

Please note that pricing scales with modules, CRM volume, website traffic, monthly identification volume, number of segments, reporting volume, and add-ons.

What is the pricing for GTM Engineering services on top of the platform?

GTM Engineering is a separate managed service. Pricing typically starts at $1,500 per month, depending on workflow complexity and the level of ongoing management; pricing may vary by case. The platform subscription is separate from the services engagement.

Do you help us run ads on platforms like Meta, Google, LinkedIn, etc.?

Yes. Along with the platform, a Factors.ai Forward Deployed Marketer will set up and run your ABM. This includes setting up and running ad campaigns on Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads, Pinterest Ads, Snapchat Ads, X  Ads, Spotify Ads, Uber Ads, and ChatGPT Ads.

Do we get a dedicated CSM or just documentation?

Growth Plans and Enterprise plans include a dedicated CSM with a weekly or bi-weekly cadence call. They handle onboarding, workflow setup, troubleshooting, and renewal conversations. Plans below that level get access to a shared customer success team.

What is the Enterprise plan and what does it add over Growth?

Enterprise starts at around $36,000/year and adds: starts at 50 segments, Bombora intent data, Google Audience Sync, data warehouse export (Snowflake, BigQuery), a Salesforce or a HubSpot iframe, higher identification volume, custom SLAs, and dedicated onboarding. It is the right tier for teams running multi-channel ABM programs at scale with a CRM-heavy sales motion.
